The Experience of Earthbound.net
Before I start this article, I would like to thank the person who voted for me as Best EB.net Article Writer. Your vote put me in a tie for first runner-up in that category, along with some pretty high staffers. It’s an honor to be on the same list as them. Thank you.
Now that I got that out of the way, it’s time for the article. Now, I see no more fitting way to do my first article of the new millennium as a look back Earthbound.net at my experiences since I started coming here.
It all started last around April. I had been looking for a super high quality Earthbound site. I had gone through many good sites over the past year. These included Earthbound 64 HQ, Ness’s Earthbound Site, and The Mother Trilogy Page. Then, on the closing day of the MTP, I saw something. It was a link to a place called Earthbound.net. I went there was instantly awed. From, then on, my life on the Internet has completely changed.
Next came a big milestone in my Earthbound.net life. It was probably sometime in May when I had become intrigued by the Article section. I loved it so much that I wrote my first article, entitled What’s the Deal With EB64. This article wasn’t very good, but I have improved. By now, I have probably written somewhere around twenty articles.
In early August came two more milestones for me. One came because of the EBFGP Summer 1999. I loved the whole idea of the event, so I just had to join the message boards. That was one milestone. The other one was when I got mIRC. From that day on, I have been a regular in #earthbound. Ever since those two events, I have been able to put my two cents about my site.
That is about it for important things that have happened to me since I came to EB.net. Ever since that fateful April day my life has changed. Since then EB.net has gone through many changes. It has changed its layout countless times. It has added many things and has pretty much gotten a lot better. I can’t wait to see what cool stuff comes to it in the future.
