Here is my enlarged theory on the Tenda, Mr. Saturns, Tessie, the Scarabian Pyramids, and Stonehenge.
A few thousand years ago, a spaceship from Saturn approached Earth, eager to explore the planet. However, they had forgotten about the spaceships owned by Emperor Giygas of the Giygans. These ships burned the Saturnian ship in half with lasers.
Both halves were caught by earth gravity, and fell through the atmosphere. The first half landed in Grapefruit Valley, and the Saturnians on board formed a village and an Underground Road. These were the first Mr. Saturns.
The other half landed hundreds of miles south, in Northern Scaraba. The Giygans traced the fall of the ship, and the Apple of Enlightenment was contacted. It prophesied that the Saturnians on board the second piece of the ship would help the four Chosen Ones on their quest. Giygas, knowing the ancient prophesy, ordered thousands of Starmen and other things to destroy these Saturnians.
These Saturnians, in the meantime, knew what Giygas was attempting. They built the pyramids as shelters. They also found the Hawk Eye, and used some of its power to learn to see in the dark. They then built the pyramids as shelters, and a way to Southern Scaraba. They hid the Hawk Eye here, and wrote this inscription in the wall behind the Hawk Eye:
The Chosen One, and Chosen One alone,
May lift the Hawk Eye from its throne.
If mere theives dare steal the eye, now,
The Curse of Giygas will be apon thou...
As double security, they sealed the doors with the Sphinx. However, they made a critical error. They made the door hinges too weak.
Giygas' forces arrived and the Saturnians ran south. They Giygan forces blasted the door hinges of the pyramids, believing it to be full of Saturnians. They searched the pyramid, and it was empty - the Saturnians had escaped. The doors remained until the Scarabians came, made new hinges, and re-attached the doors, hundreds of years later.
The Saturnians were excellent swimmers, and made it to Deep Darkness. Several months later, Giygas found them, and knowing he could not attack through Deep Darkness, plotted another way. The idea would not be used for another fifteen years.
Around this time, the escaped Saturnians became known as Tenda. Tenda was a modified plant name - the real name was Tendaca. Boiled Tendaca leaves formed a stew called Tendakraut. It tasted awful, because Deep Darkness water was in it.
After more years, the Tendites separated into shy and non-shy groups. The non-shy Tenda moved to the Underworld, disliking the silence above. Some of these gained PSI in Lumine Hall, and unable to control it, teleported back to Deep Darkness.
Giygas was not finished. He discovered the path from their village to the Underworld, and moved himself there (to the Underworld). Then he commanded the monsters to attack.
The Underworld-Tendites answered by building a huge wall which no dinosaur could pass. The Deep Darkness Tendites moved a giant rock over the hole to the Underworld. But the attack was a blessing in disguise, for a hot spring was underneath the spot where the rock used to be. Boiled Tendaca leaves using hot spring water formed a delicious soup - Tendakraut.
Tendakraut had two disadvantages - its smell and its greenish dye. Over time, the noses of the Tendites shrank, and the greenish dye turned them green.
Also, do you remember the Tendites who gained PSI after the Tendites split into shy/non-shy groups? An accident threw them to Winters. They built Stonehenge to measure time and the cave room underneath it for shelter.
Shortly after, these Tendites discovered heat vents under Lake Tess. They moved there, and through hundreds of years of evolution, became Tessie. The Bubble Monkeys helped them on many occasions, which is why Tessie lets you ride her across Lake Tess - you are friends of a Bubble Monkey.
