Yes, There's More!
In my last article, I mentioned several works-in-progress going on behind the scenes that I felt would really make EarthBound.net one of the most interesting and unique RPG sites on the net. That would make plenty of sense considering that EarthBound is one of the most interesting and unique RPGs. Oh wait a second, that was the article before my last article. It was called "On the Rise" for the one or two of you who might feel like referring to it if they missed it. I discussed EarthBound.net Radio, the overall developments of the article section, the taking off of the message boards, and a few other things. The purpose of this article is to let you, the visitor know that the best is truly yet to come. I myself for some reason cannot find an accurate plug-in for Internet Explorer 4.0, but just take a look at those VRML screenshots.
VRML stands for Virtual Reality Modeling Language if I'm correct (which I'm probably not). Our resident VRMLer, Loco-san is currently working on a 3D Saturn Valley....we don't even know if we'll get to see one of those in EarthBound 64 (*grumble*), so keep checking back at the VRML section for this brilliant new interactive innovation to the site. You probably know all about that by now. Another cool new tweak to the site is the #EarthBound User Database. I'm not going to bother you anymore about downloading IRC, but please, check out the member profiles. Julia put a lot of effort into making a logo for almost every member, in addition to putting together the rest of the profile. Very interesting to look at. A section of the site that has been around for a while is the contests section.
With our new server, and lower server cost, an influx of donations could mean free prizes such as Player's Guides, EarthBound t-shirts, and other EarthBound related products. Speaking of our new server, that explains the brief down-time of www.earthbound.net. There will probably be an announcement about that anyway. And at last, the fanfic. I won't tell you what it's about. I won't even tell you who's working on it. And if you bother us to tell you, we won't deal with you. However, there is a very innovative and most awesome fanfic that will be set for release in the following couple of weeks, that I'm sure everyone will enjoy. Be patient and look forward to it. On a couple of final notes, check out the new logo if haven't noticed it yet. It's the new one with a 3D Mr. Saturn and bubble URL text. Lastly, good luck in Japan, Kyo! Later for now.
