Earthbound on Gamecube
Got Earthbound? Unlike milk, we haven’t been able to go to the store and purchase Mother 3. One of the most anticipated role playing games for the N64 was delayed more times than you can poke a stick at, and the only man that can give us answers, Shigesato Itoi, isn’t making our beloved game’s future clear. Mother 3 looked as though it was a project left behind, but from what seems to be subtle hints from Itoi, we could very well see it on the Gamecube.
The only concerns toward moving Mother 3 to the new generation console is how much would need to be recreated, changed, and improved upon. What with the demo screen shots of the upcoming console, and increase in disc space, I’m sure you can all imagine how much more can be done. The graphics will obviously need a massive overhaul from the N64 version, and since the game relies heavily on it’s soundtrack I wouldn’t be surprised if another form of music was used, modules for example. Hopefully Nintendo decides to give the fans what they want, and can do it in time without making the long awaited earthbound sequel seem too rushed.
