EB Stuff You May Not Know, Part 2
Here's issue 2. Now about Threed. You get some interesting information about Guygas here. Namely, the con man who thinks Giygas may be female. But then he says he really has no clue. Giygas being female has brought the conclusion that he is the "Mother" refered to in the title. However, Pokey refers to Giygas as male (but he's a moron). In Japanese, is there a genderless 3rd person pronoun? That might explain the discrepancy. Also, if you talk to the dirty kid who wants to work for the zombies later in the game, he talks about being a salesman. Towards the northeast of town, there is a man who goes with quite a few escapades with his house. (He's the guy that, afterward, comes outside and snorts some fresh air.) Visit him later in the game to see if he found his key... Oh, if you never have used the EB debug menu, I may as well tell you that the hint man has a ton of messages. I've never bothered to read most of them, but he has one for every single event he describes (almost). A few in Happy Happy Village and Saturn Valley it would almost be too tedious to go and discover.
Saturn Valley's oddness is obvious to the casual observer, however, you DO NOT need to defeat the trilliage sprout to restore sunlight to Threed! I know the Player's Guide says you do. It's wrong. Belch's death rids the world of zombies. That cave is hard, anyways.
Winters! I'm going out of order. The items in the Winters drug store are designed to be purchased as soon as Ness learns teleport. (Don't forget to bring in the Pencil Eraser for the monkey cave) Dang, everytime I play, I forget that Pencil Eraser. Why is it there!? Oh, did you know that Winters is supposed to be in "Foggyland?" It's actually England! England has lots of boarding schools. And the Loch Ness monster in Scottland! However, you could think of it as Canada too... or Greenland with a civilization?
Things I forgot in Twoson! The busdriver that says, "Life is long. Take it easy, chubs" will say some other things if, say, Ness is unconcious and Paula leads the crew. Check the EB Text editor, maybe? I still want to know who says, "Hey, it's the kid who wears the same clothes everyday!" Also, a drawer in Threed as the wonderous insignificant item/present.
Okay, that's all for now. Dalaam, Scaraba, and the Deep Darkness are much cooler places that are in the next episode! (stupid Fourside only has one cool thing) Heck, I'll tell ya now. When Monotoli is rid of Pokey/Mani's evil influence, do you know who takes over? Funny. The signs don't say "Monotoli Hotel" anymore. It's not an immediate change, though.
E-mail me for comments. (Thanks to those who did already!) Know something I don't? Tell me that too.
