A Word on Corruption
First of all, this article may not have much to do with Starmen.Net. This is more like a fact about life sort of thing.
This article is about corruption. No, this is not an article about how corrupt Starmen.Net is, but examples on what it's like.
My first example is things can get larger, popular, live longer. But they also get not as joyful. Like how marriage is. (Please just listen. It isn't some dumb love thing I'd say :p) It's like, when you marry, you expect yourself to be happy. But then it kind of... Takes the fun out of it. Life ends up being no more fun from what I've noticed in my weird little head.
It all ends up being for survival. When you have kids, they're your life. You don't laugh with the person you love. You just stay alive.
When you get a buisness you love to do, you're happy with it. You be happy while doing your work, and you make money off of it.
But when your buisness grows big, there's no more fun. Sure, you get more money. Enough money to expand your buisness even more. But it's no longer something you like to do.
You just get money to live.
Starmen.Net has had the same sort of thing, only different. When things grow, they tend to gain popularity. Popularity leads to more people. More people leads to different people than before. People who'd rather break rules than enforce them.
The more popular a city gets, the more corrupt it gets.
This happens everywhere. You can't stop it. Even trying to hold it back doesn't work with officers, or forces. That can just makes things worse in some cases.
The "crime" knows that the forces trying to stop them can't achieve a full victory. So do they.
The place just gets more corrupt, with more "crime". It gets more popular, because of the crime.
Now what I have to ask is:
Do you want to be a small, peaceful website?
Or a large, populated, corrupted site?
