The Other Game for EarthBounders!
Hello fellow EarthBounders. Or Earthbound fans I should say. I was just thinking, I know us Earthbound fanatics like weird, different, and interesting ideas and stuff. Correct? Well then it has come to my attention that all of you should go out and play another very kickass creative weird cool game if you have not already. Its name is Revelations:Persona, made by Atlus, kind of a rare developer like APE and HAL laboratories, and it is part of the Megami Tensei series which is a huge hit in Japan. It is for the Playstation, and came out 3 years ago.
Like Earthbound, you can find a copy these days, but it is rare in that context. Like Earthbound, it has funky, techno tunes which really rock, it takes place in the present, and you play as a group of teenagers from St.Hermilian High School. There is a very deep plot you will find out…I must admit the differences end there. Although it has some REALLY funny snippets of humor, Persona is a largely serious game, but man this game is magical like earthbound, the characters and plot are really deep and the land the game takes place and characters and theme of it will have an impact on you.
I love this game almost as much as Earthbound. It boasts interesting anime type classy graphics and a very interesting magic and special attack system which you get from enemies. Yes that’s right you can interact with the enemies talking with them in a variety of ways to get a variety of things including spell cards which you combine to create "Personas", which are the magical essence of the character. These Personas, which one can be put on a character at a time, not only determine which type of attacks and magic the character will have, but also what kind of vulnerabilities and defenses they will have. Oh yeah, you can fight giant robo-rats with machine guns in this game too J . Anyways thought I'd tell the rest of you Earthboundees about this great game since out of anybody I know you guys would! I certainly do! Check it out!
