GameBoy Mother
Well, let me start of by saying "Whoo hoo!!" the petition has reached 1,625 signatures. This is very exciting news.
Why this is exciting news? Well, let me tell you. This is exciting because now we have an idea of how many people would by Mother 1 if it were ported to Game Boy Color. But don't forget, there MANY more people who are unaware of this petition, so if it were released, many more then 1,625 copies of the game would be sold.
Another big plus for Mother fans is that Nintendo is going retro. If you haven't noticed, Nintendo plans to bring old time NES games to GBC. A few are Super Mario Brothers and Blades of Steel (BoS was renamed BoS 99, but it's the NES port with a few changes).
Lastly, seeing as how Mother is one of their (Nintendo's) most original games, it would be very worthwhile for them to bring it to Game Boy Color. And, the fact that many people want it. (Remember Smash Brothers?)
To conclude, yes, I believe the "Big N" will bring Mother 1 to GBC because if they see the petition, and see how many people really want it, they would begin to port it to GBC. Of course, Nintendo would never admit to letting a petition act as a reason to why a game was released.
